Last week, Michael Jackson’s documentary, This Is It, debuted in theaters across the globe.

And while its been months since MJ’s untimely passing, it seems as though he is more popular than ever.

The film grossed 20.7 million over Halloween weekend, but numbers were lower than what Sony anticipated. However, the film still took the number one spot.

In addition, the two week screening of the movie has been extended to Thanksgiving weekend.

The Chairman of Sony Pictures, Jeff Blake, states,

“In just 5 days, Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT has become the highest grossing concert film of all time and we are elated by the response to this special film by fans, critics and moviegoers from all over the world. With this kind of global response, it’s clear that the motion picture deserves an extended run and we are going to do everything we can to make the film available to everyone who wants to see Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT on the big screen.”

This news is music to MJ fans ears….

Tonight is Game 6 of the 2009 World Series...

The New York Yankees will be looking to clinch yet another world title, while the Phillies are looking to keep their title from 2008!

With the Yankees up 3-2 in the series, fans will surely be in for one memorable game.

Sure October is the best month of the year…I mean we celebrate Halloween!

However, October also means game time…or should I say Yankee time?

In recent years, the highly popular Yankees have ended their past seasons in disappointment.  With extensive World Series and Championship records, fans were beginning to wonder if these over-paid players were even motivated to execute?

Pixar co-founder John Lasseter states,

“I began thinking what the costume design would be for each season,” he says. Since Lost Treasure is set in autumn, “the weather is cooler, and her outfit should reflect that.”

Heff decided to honor The Simpson’s 20th Anniversary by featuring Marge in a three-page pictorial complete with an interview and a data sheet.

Attention Spider-Man fanatics…production for Venom is underway!

For those of you unfamiliar to the super villain ((how could you be?)):

Venom’s character is a parasite that attaches itself to his victims by the graces of an indispensable gooey substance. That’s not it folks! Venom also then gives them special powers.

What a generous archenemy/anti-hero?

While Venom appeared in Spider-Man 3,and played by Topher Grace, sources say this film will be produced completely from scratch.  Gary Ross, writer and director of “Seabiscuit“, will be taking on Venom, in addition to working on the script for Spider-Man 4.  Since the deal was just recently made, the film’s release is unknown…

Things have taken a turn for the worst for America’s favorite train wreck, Jon & Kate Plus 8….

Lets give a recent time line of the latest events that have turned Jon & Kate into an all out freak show:

-Jon announces a halt to the divorce- seeking mediation for Kate and himself…Wants Kate as a friend [Right!!....]

-TLC announces that Jon’s role will be drastically shortened, and the show’s name will be changed to Kate Plus 8.

-Jon halts production of the show: citing concern for his children as reason.  A sign posted outside the Gosselin’s residence prohibits production crews or any TLC staff.

-Jon violates an agreement which is part of their divorce proceedings and withdraws $230,000 from a joint account with Kate….But wait, hes not a complete clown- he left her $1,000! [LOSER!]

Things are looking to turn into a complete circus between the two…But Kate continues to remain classy, and hopefully the children won’t continue to be affected…

Whatever happens, we will be sure to watch…
