February 9th was a very special day in front of the Capitol Records Building at Hollywood and Vine as Sir Paul McCartney was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Joined by his wife Nancy Shevell and son James, flanked by a who’s who of musical friends including Elvis Costello, Herbie Hancock, and Joe Walsh and introduced by Neil Young, the 69 year-old former Beatle received his place in the sidewalk alongside those of legendary band mates John, George and Ringo.
As the 2460th star in the famed walk, Paul’s came 23 years after John Lennon’s and 3 years after George Harrison’s, who both received their recognitions posthumously. Ringo Starr, unable to attend the ceremony due to illness, had his name cemented in 2010 while The Beatles collectively have had one since 1998.
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Paul accepting this everlasting symbol than by donning a Beatles costume and singing along to your favorite songs by the Fab Four! Our full selection is just a click away, go ahead and take a “Magical Mystery Tour” in tribute to Paul getting his star at long last.
